Services & extras

What's included, what costs extra, and why.

No sneaky surprises at check-in. Three buckets: what's always in the price, what's obligatory, what's optional. Read it before you book — you won't find another charter that lays it out this plainly.

01 · Always included

  • Snorkel gear, fishing rod, beach toys
  • Tender with outboard

  • Tourist tax: €1.00 / guest / night
  • Paid cash or card on Saturday

03 · Optional extras

Skipper · honest disclosure

We don't employ skippers. We refer them.

Most charters mark up skipper rates by 30–50%. We don't think that's right — so we don't sell skippers at all. Instead, we hand you a list of three local captains we've sailed with, you contact them directly, and you pay them directly. No markup, no kickback.

Typical rate: €180–220 / day + €30 food contribution. Most are licensed up to ocean.

Frequently asked

Asked all the time, answered honestly.

The questions in our inbox most weeks. If you can't find yours, WhatsApp Andreas — replies inside an hour.

Why is the transit log a separate charge?

It's a Croatian government fee — every charter pays it. We just keep it as a line item rather than rolling it into a confusing "package."

What's included in the transit log?

Final cleaning, WiFi, dinghy, outboard engine + 5 L fuel, cooking gas, toilet paper, dish soap and sponge, ready beds, 2 towels per person, cockpit cushions, and underwater diving inspection of the ship before handover.

What's NOT included in the price?

Fuel (tank-to-tank — pay what you used), marina fees away from Pirovac (€40–120/night depending on island), food, drinks, optional extras you select.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, on most yachts. €120 per booking pet fee covers extra cleaning. We have a list of dog-friendly islands and our own dog Lola has cleared every yacht.

Do I need a license?

For bareboat, yes — RYA Day Skipper / ICC equivalent + VHF SRC. Send scans when booking. Without a license we'll refer a local skipper.

How does early / late check-in work?

Standard check-in is Saturday 17:00, check-out Saturday 09:00. Early check-in 13:00 same Saturday is €150 (limited availability). Late check-out Friday evening sleep-aboard is €100; late check-out Saturday morning until ~13:00 is €150 on request.

What deposit is required?

30% on booking, 70% balance 30 days before charter. A refundable security deposit (€2,000–4,000 depending on yacht) is held by credit card pre-auth at check-in.

Is the security deposit insured?

Yes — every yacht is covered by Yacht-Pool deposit insurance. You can buy a deposit waiver from us at €240–380/week if you'd rather not carry the risk.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We don't refund weather days, but we'll always re-route you with Andreas. In serious storms (bura over 35 kn forecast) we'll keep you in port — we'd rather lose a day than damage a boat.

Can I sail one-way and drop the boat in another marina?

Yes, on request. Trogir / Split: €600. Dubrovnik: €800–900 depending on yacht. Zadar: €350. We collect her ourselves.

Do you take credit cards?

Visa, Mastercard, Amex (3% surcharge), or bank transfer (no surcharge). Cash for transit log on arrival is fine if you prefer.

Can I see the actual contract before booking?

Of course — email us and we'll send the standard MySea charter contract template. The terms of charter are also linked at the bottom of every page.

Got a specific question about the costs?

Andreas reads every email. If something's not clear, ask — we'd rather you understand the bill before you book than after.
